Required 2021 Re-certification Training for All Current Users Coming Soon!

If you are a current Minnesota HMIS user or supervise a MN HMIS user(s), you should have seen the MN HMIS News Alert sent to your email on Monday, August 23, regarding the upcoming required training for all HMIS users to maintain access to Minnesota’s HMIS. If you have an HMIS login, this training is required for you. This News Alert content walks you through the required trainings and how you can prepare yourself or your team for this requirement.

Key Dates

  • Monday, September 13: You will get an automated email from Moodle with your login information if you are an HMIS user and do not yet have an account in Moodle. (If you have completed New User Training since December 1, 2020, you should already have a Moodle account.)

  • Friday, October 1: Due date for all HMIS users to complete their 2021 Re-certification Training to be ready for the changes that go into effect on October 1, which includes a change to the data you collect and enter into Minnesota’s HMIS.

  • Friday, October 15: Your HMIS license will be inactivated if you have not completed these Re-certification training requirements by the end-of-day on Friday, October 15, until such time as training is completed.

Action to take before September 13th:

Review your email address on file in ServicePoint to ensure that it is correct and up-to-date (instructions are here) as soon as possible. ICA will be creating new accounts in Moodle (read more about Moodle here) for all users to complete this training requirement - but it requires an accurate email address to engage in the process! There is nothing you need to do at this point to get set up in Moodle – just be sure your current ServicePoint email address is up-to-date.
