Release Notes: How to Stay Informed about HMIS Updates

Release Notes are taking center stage, replacing the Go Live Tracker on the homepage of hmismn.org. The Go Live Tracker got us through the initial transition phase of this work. Now as we move into a season of more predictability and stability with scheduled releases for upcoming changes, we are transitioning our attention fully to Release Notes as the mechanism to keep the community informed.

Release notes are lists of exactly what in the system changed, how it changed, and what you need to know about it as an end user. They offer detailed information about fixes, improvements, and new features.

You can access Release Notes in two ways: User Dashboard in ClientTrack and the homepage at hmismn.org. Each scheduled item has an anticipated Release Date so you can know when to expect changes in the system. We will review and update, as needed, Release Notes every Tuesday and Thursday to ensure you have up-to-date information.

As we approach the end-of-year, there will be no changes in the system during these times:

  • November 21 - December 2

  • December 19-January 2

We will continue to use Release Notes to inform you what is up next, what was just released, and whether any issues occurred.
