PIT Deadline Extended! Have You Run Your PIT Reports Yet?

Point-In-Time Count: Deadline Extended & Essential Next Steps

Who Does This Affect? ALL Emergency Shelters (including voucher stays) and Transitional Housing agencies should read on.What? HUD has extended the deadline to submit the 2017 Point-In-Time Count data by two weeks. As such, we are revising our deadlines. What Action Do I Need to Take? If you are a ES or TH agency, you MUST run two PIT reports in ART: 0630 Sheltered PIT 2017 v19 and MN-Specific Sheltered PIT 2017v19.Check both the counts (Tab A), Client Detail (Tab E), Disability Detail (Tab F) to ensure data quality.Do the totals match what you expect?Did the clients on the list stay in shelter that night? Are there Entry Exits or Shelter Stay open that should be closed? Is there missing information about the clients (demographics, HUD Universal Data Elements)?Once you are certain the report accurately reflects who stayed in your program that night, you are done. You may want to reach out to your CoC Coordinator to confirm your data clean-up is complete. Are There Instructions? Yes! Detailed instructions for how to pull this report and how to troubleshoot errors. You can find them here. When Do I Need to Complete This? This data clean up must be complete on or before Monday, April 3rd.After the 3rd, your CoC Coordinator may reach out to you to resolve remaining issues. What if I need Help? As always, reach out to the ICA Helpdesk at mnhmis@icalliances.org with questions. Thanks for your timely attention to this as we work to highlight the state of homelessness in Minnesota.
