PIT Data Entry Deadline Approaching
For our HMIS participating Emergency Shelter and Transitional Housing agencies, enter your Point-in Time (PIT) night data as quickly and completely as possible. You have until Wednesday, February 17th.
If you are awaiting a new provider set-up in order to enter your PIT night data, please reach out to our Helpdesk ASAP to ensure that we have prioritized that for immediate action - we do not want you to wait on that data entry.
Be proactive and make your Account Specialist proud! After you’ve completed data entry for PIT night, you can run this HMIS report to get ahead of any data entry errors:
MIN-01-DQR-251 - Quarterly Data Quality Monitoring
In coming weeks, we'll be reviewing PIT data and assembling our data quality emails to support you in HMIS data corrections. You'll receive these HMIS data quality emails by February 22nd. You will have until the end of March to make corrections.
For the unsheltered and non-HMIS sheltered count (PIT LIVE):
For our partners participating in the unsheltered or non-HMIS sheltered count, collect your surveys and be sure to send them to the appropriate contact in your CoC (defer to local instruction). These counts must be entered into our PIT LIVE tool by February 17th.
We'll work with CoC Coordinators and PIT Leads to review survey data entered into PIT LIVE, highlight potential errors, and make corrections throughout late February and early March.
This is an iterative process so please watch for clarification requests from your Coordinator or PIT Lead.
Housing Inventory Count
While the PIT Count includes homeless persons, the Housing Inventory Count (HIC), which is also underway, includes all homeless-serving projects in the Continuum of Care. This year, we will be reviewing client-level data quality to help inform CoC counts of who was in a residential program the night of the PIT.
PIT in the Media
If you had local media coverage, send it our way and we’ll showcase it on our website!
See the PIT page of our website for more details.
