ICA Presentation Materials from MN Coalition for the Homeless Conference

ICA presented two fabulous sessions at last week’s MN Coalition for the Homeless Conference in Duluth. If you attended and simply must get your hands on our slides and handouts or if you missed them, but already heard how great they were, fear not!Session: From One 4-letter Word to Another: Leveraging Your HMIS Data as a Tool for Agency, Community, and Statewide Insights.Description: Data entry and reporting in HMIS can feel like a four-letter word for already over-extended staff. What if your agency could, instead, leverage HMIS as a tool to inform program decisions, understand performance, and draw more meaningful connections to the broader community?  This session will introduce the audience to a range of HMIS tools (ICA data visualization resources, ICA summary reports), demonstrate alignment across local, statewide, and nationwide initiatives to prevent and end homelessness, and empower HMIS users and program staff to inform data-driven decisions and action.Find the slides here.Find the handout here.Session: Coordinated Entry Through the Lens of HMIS DataDescription: This session will focus on showcasing coordinated entry HMIS data to begin telling the story of coordinated entry in Minnesota. We will detail how to use the HMIS Coordinated Entry Monitoring Report to inform resource planning and identify potential gaps in your community.Find the slides here.
