Have You Heard? We Are Re-designing MN HMIS User Training!
For the past two years, our team has been working hard behind the scenes to completely re-design the HMIS user training experience in Minnesota. We started this process by reviewing each and every piece of New User Training feedback we’ve received since 2016, and we heard you, HMIS community! We are excited to say hello to a new, more engaging, more intuitive, and more custom training experience.
What can you expect?
Significant updates to the user experience.
Updated, short videos - no video exceeds 15 minutes.
Short, interactive learning content throughout to build your knowledge.
A new learning management platform where you can track progress between your sessions, and even earn badges!
Learning content accessible to more types of learners.
Educationally sound materials - we have professionals on staff, people!
Custom training plans by User Type - including for ShelterPoint users and Read/Report Only users.
When can you expect it?
We are on track to replace our existing user training by the end of 2020. If you want early access to the new User Training materials or have a new staff member who will need HMIS training soon, consider joining our October Pilot Cohort!
User Training Pilot Cohort
Before full implementation of the re-designed User Training, we want to put a small group of new and existing users (Pilot Cohort) through the coursework and new platform. This commitment would ask for about 10 hours of your time between October 5th and October 30th. These hours could be spent on your own time and at your own pace.
What would you get?
Early access to the new content and the exciting new learning platform!
Multiple opportunities to provide feedback that would shape the training experience for the HMIS community.
For new users, this would fulfill your HMIS training requirements. For existing users, this would be a great refresher on HMIS Fundamentals, Data Entry, Reporting, Quarterly Data Quality, and more!
If you would like more information on how to take part in the User Training Pilot Cohort opportunity, please email the MN HMIS Helpdesk!
