Congratulations to the Recipients of the First-Ever Data Quality Incentive Awards!
The HMIS Governing Board is pleased to announce the award of its first-ever Data Quality Incentive funds! This initiative was made possible by allocating $10,000 of user fees from the 2019 HMIS budget to help agencies build capacity. Programs from across Minnesota responded tothe Governing Board’s request for proposals and sought double the available funding for a range of creative and compelling projects aimed at improving dataquality both within and across organizations. Proposals were anonymized to avoid conflicts of interest and reviewed by a working group with volunteers drawn from each HMIS Governing Board committee. Competition was fierce, and in the end the following programs received funds:
Minnesota Valley Action Council
Salvation Army
Salvation Army – Harbor Light Center
Simpson Housing Services
Southwestern Mental Health Center
Southwest Minnesota Continuum of Care
West Central Minnesota Continuum of Care
United Community Action Partnership
Fund recipients will partner with ICA to implement their projects by August 31, 2019 and are invited to share their experience with the HMIS community during the Governing Board’s Annual Meeting on October 14, 2019. The Governing Board thanks all applicants for their commitment to helping us produce better data to best serve those experiencing homelessness, and congratulates recipients for their successful proposals!
