Attention Housing Support Agencies: Change to Quarterly Reporting
Starting in 2020, Housing Support providers will be switching from an annual reporting schedule to a quarterly one. This change has been brought to us by the Department of Human Services (DHS) and we’re working closely with them to get it implemented for the next quarter.
You should continue with regular data entry as normal, however, you’ll now be receiving reminders to have data entered and updated on a more regular, quarterly basis. ICA will still be pulling all reports and submitting them to DHS on behalf of Housing Support providers.
Below is what the new reporting schedule will look like beginning in 2020:
Quarter 1: July 1 to September 30
Early October: Reminders posted in newsletter to have data entered and updated
1st Week of November: Reports sent to DHS
Quarter 2: October 1 to December 31
Early January: Reminders posted in newsletter to have data entered and updated
1st Week of February: Reports sent to DHS
Quarter 3: January 1 to March 31
Early April: Reminders posted in newsletter to have data entered and updated
1st Week of May: Reports sent to DHS
Quarter 4: April 1 to June 30
Early July: Reminders posted in newsletter to have data entered and updated
1st Week of August: Reports sent to DHS
*NOTE: Quarter 3 will be the first quarterly reports that are sent to DHS*
In order to prepare for this change in reporting, we suggest running the MN Core Homeless Programs Report from 7/1/2019 to Current Date (whatever today’s date is) and cleaning up any errors that you see as of now. Instructions for running the MN Core Homeless Programs Report can be found in the Housing Support User Guides.
If you have any questions regarding running reports, please contact our Helpdesk at mnhmis@icalliances.org. For questions about this reporting change or the schedule of reporting, please reach out to DHS at dhs.dhs.grh@state.mn.us.
