We hope you’ve tuned in to our training efforts and reviewed, printed, and prepped materials for tonight’s Point-in-Time Count. If you haven’t, pull up a chair and catch up here.
TONIGHT, Wednesday, January 24th at sunset through sunrise, Thursday, January 25th is the official count.
This is a truly communal effort, as folks from around Minnesota in our sector work together to take a one-night snapshot of the state of homelessness, both sheltered and unsheltered. You have assuredly received communication in the past weeks from ICA, your CoC Coordinators, PIT Leads, and from Amy Stetzel at the Office to Prevent and End Homelessness. Please read those communications thoroughly to be sure you are prepared for the count.
For our HMIS Emergency Shelter and Transitional Housing projects, to ensure your full participation in the PIT Count, just be sure to conduct timely and complete data entry for everyone in your program.
All HMIS data must be entered on or before February 9th.
We will begin running aggregate data quality reports at that time for CoC Coordinators and reach out directly with persisting data quality issues.
If you participate in the unsheltered count or also have non-HMIS ES or TH projects, you should already have in hand what you need (online and/or paper surveys!). Reach out to your local PIT Lead or CoC Coordinator asap if not, and review our website for materials.
We wish you a successful Point-in-Time Count!
